DOESummaryFunctions independently in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for patients' needs and/or complications of treatment in the Emergency Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collects and documents data about patients seen on the unit.
Interprets assessment data to prioritize treatment needs.
Implements and evaluates individual plan of care.
Prioritizes and assesses patient acuity and treatment modalities.
Communicates discharge instructions and teaching.
Possesses effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Utilizes equipment properly.
Participates in departmental growth and development.
Pursues professional growth.
Follows patient care standards.
Ability to work standby.
Ability to work at ski first aid stations.

) Degree from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing.
The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.
1 - 2 years of relevant experienceLicenses, CertificationsCalifornia Registered Nurse (RN) - Upon HireNevada Registered Nurse (RN) - Upon Hire New employees hired into the District after September 1, 2012 must have California and Nevada RN licenses.
Effective November 2014, if hired as a temporary or seasonal RN, must have current CA RN license only.
Current employees in this job classification as of 1/1/2023 must obtain their NV RN license by 6/1/2023 Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Within 6 months of hire into jobBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers - Upon HireAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Upon HirePediatric Advanced Life Support- Upon HireBLS/ACLS/PALS:
Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification).
- Within 3 months of hire into jobOther Experience/QualificationsRequired:
Two years current Emergency Department experience as an RN or one year Emergency Department and one year critical care RN experience.
Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification within one year of hire into job.
Current staff (as of 12/10/21) will obtain MICN certification by 06/1/2022 Recommended Skills Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Communication Critical Care First Aid And Preparedness Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
